Dr. Daniel Buchen has been practicing Dermatology for 10 years after completing his Dermatology residency at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles in 1998. The practice encompasses adult and pediatric general dermatology-diseases of the skin, hair and nails-as well as dermatologic surgery. Dr. Buchen is a board-certified dermatologist and is fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Mohs Surgery.
What distinguishes the practice is his aggressive and practical approach to patients. He uses many newer medications like Remicade®, Humira®, Enbrel®, Raptiva®, and Soriatane® that have allowed him to improve and enhance the quality of patients’ lives that suffer with chronic skin diseases like psoriasis.
He is well-known for his work in skin cancer (Mohs) surgery and has recently published a book, Skin Flaps in Facial Surgery. Reviewers have called the book “outstanding.” Doody Review Services called the book an "excellent presentation on how one talented and creative surgeon approaches very challenging tasks."
He has lectured both nationally and internationally on the various ways to close facial defects created by the removal of skin cancer. Dr. Buchen uses these same techniques to repair torn ear lobes, suture facial lacerations, or to revise scars from previous trauma or skin cancer surgery.

Testimonials
Mrs. Louise
Mello wrote Dr. Buchen diagnosed my problem, biopsied and began
treatment right away. From that moment on, Dr. Buchen set himself apart
from other doctors. This disease is very painful and he showed himself
to be very caring
He gave me his home telephone number and told me
to call him anytime if I had a question or if I was in pain and, in fact,
he called me on a Sunday (his day off) to ask how I was doing
Dr.
Buchen is a young man with a wonderful future. He is patient, caring,
sensitive and most of all, competent. He should be the example which all
the other doctors follow
Mrs. Meyers
wrote I had a cancer on the tip of my nose removed by a Mohs surgeon
5 years ago. It came back. Then a plastic surgeon removed it. It came
back again. Since my first meeting with you, I have been convinced that
you are the one who will get me over this next hill in the road
I
have utter confidence in you.
